The GumboShop

So, I went to this restaurant called the GumboShop and it was amazing, I love spicy Cajun food. My favorite was the File Gumbo with Chicken and Sausage its was beyond delicious. The chicken was extremely tender, juicy, and mouth watering. Oh, the sausage was a mixture of flavors spicy, tangy, and fresh. I wish they served the gumbo with bread instead of crackers it would have tasted a lot better. The people there were so nice and told me about the history of New Orleans. How it was founded by the Duke d'Orleans in 1718. I could tell this culture means so much to them. Their liveliness and true southern hospitality showed throughout the entire visit I would love to come back but I have to watch what I eat all that seafood is not good for the baby. I had a wonderful experience and came out not only with a full belly but a learning experience as well.

She needs to go...

I'm a mother now, and I really cannot explain this wonderful feeling. I never knew you could love someone so much with only knowing each other for a short amount of time... My amazing feeling quickly changed after Blanche tells me that Stanley raped her the day I went to the hospital. I felt numb, I felt betrayed, and I also felt like it was time for Blanche to go. Honestly, I don't know what to believe, Blanche is known to lie but Stanley... I just don't know, I trusted them both... But Blanche is a liar, corrupt, and is so immoral. She needs to go, I cannot deal with her bringing damage to my family. Yes, I know Stanley and I have issues but what couple does not, we will work it out... I hope, but for Blanche there is no hope for her. Stanley has called a doctor to get Blanche and take her away. She thinks Shep Huntleigh is coming to take her away on this amazing vacation in the islands. I hate doing this, but my heart hurts of all the Blanche has put me through, I don't deserve this, yes I left my family and everything behind long ago but I've learned that you have to live life for you because when your unhappy then you cannot make anyone around you happy. You can't love, celebrate, or enjoy life... So I left I'm not entirely proud of it but I wouldn't be married to a man I love dearly or have the most beautiful baby anyone has ever laid their eyes on. I have so much to be happy and truly grateful for but my own sister is the reason why I can't be how sad is that. I hope I will be forgiven by her, she will understand why I'm doing this, and also get the help she needs. Its going to hurt for sometime I know, but I'm ready to move on and raise my baby with love and security. In the end, Blanche needs to go...

So much to Deal with...

I'm truly exhausted with both Stanley and Blanche. This is suppose to be a happy time, between me, Stanley, and our unborn child. But of course its not, not when Blanche is around. Stanley, told me some disturbing news about the real reasons Blanche left home, I couldn't believe what I was hearing, having a relationship with a 17 year old boy, living a life of immoralities, and becoming corrupt after finding out her husband Allan was a homosexual. I just cannot take this anymore all Stanley and Blanche want to do is find ways to get rid of each other... Sometimes I think they should run off together ha, how funny would that be. Oh my, I feel as if I'm going insane, I never get a moment to think for myself in this place. Every second I'm getting pulled in different directions with Stanley's bowling and attempts to get rid of Blanche or Blanche's attempts to get rid of Stanley and her many hour long baths she takes. Its like she takes those baths to cleanse not just her body but her mind and all those bad memories she has caused for herself. This is to much for me to deal with, I'm constantly trying to make everyone happy but what about me? Tomorrow's Blanche's birthday and there is so much to plan and decorate. I just want this to go smoothly and hopefully Mitch shows up even though Stanley told him about Blanche's corrupt moments, I exactly had hopes for them, they come from different backgrounds but seem to be so close in the months Blanche's has been here. I wish they would just run off and get married and live their lives away from us. I can't believe I'm talking like this, Blanche is my sister and I love her to death, but in the end a person can only deal with so much, I can only deal with so much. I really hope that day comes with Blanche leaves because her staying here is growing conflict more and more by the minute.

The way Me and Stanley are...

I forgot how aggravating Blanche can be, all she does it complain either about the apartment or how hot it is. Now she's complaining about Stanley, I know he has an anger problem but he has always been this way. And, I understand he shouldn't be angry all the time but I love Stanley with all my heart and he makes me happy. And, secretly I believe the anger Stanley has and lashes out, really intrigues me. I don't know why but its so exciting and passionate between us. We have something that Blanche will never understand. Maybe Blanche is jealous, jealous of my happiness and the place I am at in my life. I wish she would actually be happy for me and accept Stanley, I can see she's slowly starting trouble and making Stanley out to be the bad guy. I couldn't believe her trying to make an escape plan to get away from Stanley. To be honest, I'm so tired of her antics I can't sit here and help her all hours of the day. One thing I know is that her lies are soon going to catch up with her, especially with her friend Shep. Blanche needs to realize she not as young as she tells everyone, oh and her lying about her age is ridiculous. I feel as if she has lived a double life and now that she is out of her environment, its getting hard for her to cope. I know if I didn't write this out I think I would continue to bottle it all up like use to when we were younger, maybe that has something to with my leaving... hmmm if Blanche ever knew that she probably call me selfish and blame me for all her troubles. I had to leave though, I just had to but sometimes I do wonder what would have happen if I had stayed?

Blanche's Arrival & The truth about me

I woke up this morning feeling just as I did yesterday hopeful and grateful. My sister Blanche arrival was a little bit unexpected but I'm glad she's here, its funny you know she hasn't changed one bit still acts as though she is the wealthiest woman in this earth. Although, I am glad to see her, the comments she made about my home were definitely unnecessary. Yeah, my place is not like our childhood home in Mississippi, but its home to Stanley and I. Being around Blanche made me feel like a child all over again. Blanche always was so out spoken and had to have the first and last word in a conversation. I don't know how I dealt with it for so many years, maybe I've been lying to myself for saying the real reason I left Mississippi was because I had to find myself, maybe the truth is I had to get away from Blanche before I ended up being her little lap dog that follows her every word or worst became just like her. Hearing that she lost our home, immediately brought tears to my eyes. How could she be so irresponsible, even though she was alone she carried herself in the most independent of ways. I kind of feel like Blanche did all this on purpose taking a a leave of absence from her job and losing our home. No, no Blanche wouldn't do something like that just so she wouldn't be alone and have to deal with life as a single woman, I honestly just don't know whether to be happy or cautious. With Blanche here, I believe the truth about me leaving home years ago and our distant relationships will soon come to light... I just hope I'm prepared for this.
