Don't Lose Yourself When Baby Arrives:

Stella would definitely care about this issue because many new mothers become so wrapped up in their child's life and forget that they have one also. Being apart of your new Born's life is expected from a new mother but you still have to make time for yourself. Throughout the play, Stella seem to find it extremely hard to balance her sister and husband's attitudes and when she did she forgot about herself entirely. All Stella wants is to have a happy home life, but with a happy home life comes and happy attitude from you personally. This issue will help Stella remind herself that she is important and it is okay to take some "me time" every once in awhile. And, now with Blanche out of the picture she has no more unneeded stress caused by her sister so she has no excused to blame Blanche. Although, Stanley will probably continue drinking by Blanche absence this will make things a lot better between him and Stella it will take sometime but everything will be good as new if Stella continues to remind herself to put herself first at times and not lose herself in the process of life.
I am Stella Kowalski, I'm young, happily married and awaiting to have my first child. I'm new to these blogs, but I decide to open up about my life. There is nothing I want to hide about me and those in my life. I live in the lively city of New Orleans, its unlike my home in Laurel, Mississippi. There is a lot of stories there and memories and I'm here to tell them. Me... Stella Kowalski
Narravtive Gap- What Stella does not know
While at the hospital, Stella awaits to go into labor until finding out she will not give birth until the following day. She is told to rest because she has a big day ahead of her. In the next scene, Stanley comes home drunk as usually to a dolled up Blanche, she explains that her friend Shep Huntleigh sent a telegram telling her, he has planned for a beautiful getaway to the islands. Stanley, of course could careless, following Blanche around he eyes her with a look of sick twisted desire, he explains to Blanche that they have both been awaiting for this moment for a long time. Blanche finds herself feeling some what terrified, but instead of screaming and seeking an exit, she falls to her knees and gives in. To the audience it seems as though, Stanley has raped Blanche but if it was rape why does she not run from the situation. And, why is Stanley at home anyway, his lover and wife is preparing to have his first child but his desire is set on her sister. If Stella only knew what really happen this would truly change everything.
